To inspire, motivate, organise people's group.

To federate the groups at higher level and bring them under one umbrella called Regional Federation or people's Movement.

To facilitate the federation to become self-reliant and self-sustaining in order to address macro issues.

To co-ordinate and network DSSS activities and facilitate building up of people's movement.

Channeling animation fund to the member societies.

To monitor the activities and evaluate the animation programmes of 21 DSSSs.
