Regionalisation process is an important milestone in the development sphere of Tamilnadu. It paves the way for greater participation and decision-making in the region besides responding to regional needs and priorities. The outcome of regionalisation will be capacity building, mobilisation of local resources and focussed promotional work.
Every year TASOSS publishes posters, notices, leaflets on hunger and diseases campaign. The leaflets and the theme of the year's message sent by Caritas India are translated in Tamil by TASOSS. About 23,000 copies of the notices and leaflets are printed and sent to all dioceses in Tamilnadu, Pondicherry and outside Tamilnadu namely Bangalore, Belgaum, Bellary, Mysore, Palakadu, Tiruvananthapuram and Kottayam. The theme changes for every year according to the problem present in the country.
With a view to augment the resources of TASOSS and reduce its dependency on external assistance for its sustainability, TASOSS has started two income generation programmes through one computer training centre and an offset printing press, which are being successfully run.
